Brandon Haghverdian, M.D. Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Haghverdian is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Foot and Ankle Surgery. He concentrates in the treatment of all foot and ankle disorders, including degenerative, traumatic, and neurological conditions. His practice includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with complex conditions such as bunion and lesser toe deformities, fractures, flatfoot and cavovarus disorders, arthritis of the foot or ankle, instability, and diseases of the tendons, ligaments, and nerves.

Dr. Haghverdian was born and raised in Orange County. He attended Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, after which he graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where he earned magna cum laude honors for his focus in Biological and Political Sciences.

He then returned to UC Irvine for medical school, and was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society in his Junior year. Upon graduation, in recognition of his top performance, he was also granted the distinguished UniHealth Foundation Scholarship.

Following medical school, Dr. Haghverdian traveled to Philadelphia for his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he developed skills in comprehensive musculoskeletal care, ranging from hip and knee replacements to spine surgery and complex fracture care. He then completed a fellowship at Duke University, where he learned from pioneers in the field regarding the management of complex hindfoot and ankle deformities, ankle arthritis, and disorders of the forefoot and midfoot. As a high-volume ankle arthritis center, he participated in dozens of total ankle replacement surgeries.

Dr. Haghverdian has helped author numerous academic publications in scientific journals and textbooks regarding surgical and non-surgical management of orthopaedic disorders. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
